New Wellingtonian
The New Wellingtonian Buddy Programme was a university project developed in collaboration with Wellington City Library. The brief focused on encouraging newcomers to Wellington to connect with local residents and gain practical insights into life in the city. The concept was designed to foster a warm, welcoming environment for people new to Wellington, pairing them with friendly locals who could share knowledge, guidance, and recommendations. The project explored how meaningful, one-to-one connections could help newcomers feel more at home and support smoother integration into Wellington’s community.
